Miss Kym’s Music Place is a children’s web series that combines music, puppetry, and components of early childhood development to promote the social and emotional learning of it’s young viewers. It follows the daily lives 6-year-old C.J. and his 4-year-old sister, CoCo, as they interact with their family, friends, and community.
The goal of the show is to provide episodes that educate, entertain, and amplify children’s cultural diversity.
About the Show
Six-year-old C.J. and four-year-old CoCo live with their parents in a multi-story apartment building in an unnamed city. The Music Place, where they take daily music lessons, is located on the first floor of the building. Miss Kym owns the business and is the main teacher, and she often babysits CoCo and CJ and the other kids who attend the Music Place and live in the building. The residents are a close knit group of family and friends who interact with one another on a daily basis, sharing experiences where they support one another and work together with finding resolutions to conflicts.

CoCo Brown is 4-years-old. She enjoys singing, dancing, coloring, and making up fun games to play with her big brother and friends. She is learning about patience and the importance of being thankful.
C.J. is 6-years-old. He loves singing, dancing learning, and playing with his little sister and his best friend, Manny. CJ is learning that it's important to make good choices even when no one else is watching.
Manny Azul is a Spanish speaking, loveable 6-years-old.. He likes to play his guitar, sing, and build lego towers with his friend, CJ. Manny is always ready to help a friend in need. His favorite food is his mother’s Empanadas.
Miss Kym is a warm hearted music teacher and the owner of the Music Place. She is well-liked by her students and always available to help someone in their time of need. She and Mahogany often bump heads but they always work it out.
Mahogany is a singer, actress, and former Broadway performer. She teaches musical theater at the Music Place and she loves to remind people that she's been on Broadway.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown are the loving parents of CoCo and CJ. They provide a loving home for their children and encourage them to express themselves freely. They believe in the importance of modeling kindness and altruistic behavior for their kids. Mr. Brown makes a mean gumbo, which his also Mrs. Brown’s favorite food.

Kymberly Stewart
Kymberly created Miss Kym's Music Place from her love for children and the performing arts. She draws from personal experiences of her childhood, parenthood and an extensive career as an early childhood educator to craft a series that educates and entertains children while amplifying their cultural diversity. Her mission is to empower children to express themselves, embrace their individuality, and find a point of reference with which they can identify.
